Elderly Massage, and the art of grace, and letting go

Google

I remember an elderly massage client I had a few years ago who came for sessions on a fairly regular basis. She had had six kids, then gone through a divorce, and of course many ups and downs in her life. She had reached that plateau in life where she said, "you kind of float along, letting go of things, and just taking in as much as you can". Raising six kids is quite a feat in my mind. I don't know how that's even possible! The powerful part of doing elderly massage work is that clients may move, change therapists, or even die, as sadly, a different one did recently, but I will always carry a little piece of them forever in my heart. This is another reason why this work is so enlightening, but the public eye and the media especially tend to ignore all that.

Anyhow, just a quick note here about Elderly Massage. A fair portion of people I work with are in this category, and they are just so precious to me, as they teach me a lot of wonderful things. As far as sessions go, the work is very gentle, but a few do enjoy some deep tissue work, it all depends on their past experiences, and how they feel nowadays. Another favorite of mine was a nurse for 30 years, got into bodywork in 1966, and still gets some pretty deep work. She is just an incredibly beautiful person, is an avid hiker with her two burly Newfoundlands, and is in awesome shape.

I always take a thorough health intake before the session to make sure everything is ok before proceeding. As I myself grow older, I find less of a need to rush things. What a blessing now, especially with the world being the way it is these days.

Below is an ad for a great supplier for name brand lounge-type massage chairs. They have a great money back guarantee, free shipping, 110% price match, NO SALES TAX!!! (except Utah) and financing available too.

They carry only the best brands. It's a great investment, as you can get a self- massage every day. Many improvements have been made to these chairs in recent years, they have a lot more features, and many now have "modular" designs so servicing them right at home is a lot easier. Check them out...

peace out,

Rob
