Here's my assistant, Banjo, from Brazil. He recommended what he believes is the best massage chair years ago. He recently fell off my bookshelf, and hurt his back. He's too little to fit on this chair, but he entertains folks with song and dance while they wait. I am designing a miniature, pocket-sized chair for him, and of course, he wants ME to lug the thing around. I am re-negotiating his contract, and have cut his sugar and caffeine intake considerably.
Experiencing a session with the best massage chair on the market is a great way to introduce yourself to Therapeutic Massage. There are two types of massage chairs. First, for traditional "1-on-1" work, the winner is the Pisces Pro Dolphin II. The main difference with this chair is client comfort.
The client can be supported in a more lateral position, closer to a "fetal" position, and the positioning is very similar to being on a table. This means that the client is much more relaxed, and it's definitely a welcome change from sitting upright, which is what you're probably doing all day anyway! This also means that I can utilize a more effective angle and pressure into the area of need. (we call this "intention").
The fact also that this is easier on MY body means that I am far more effective and consistent in the session, so you get a better massage.
I have carried the world's best massage chair all over CT. I've used it on many types of people, from Sumo
Wrestlers to elderly clients. And it has held up well over the years.
My version of chair massage is a bit different from the standard "wellness" type of chair massage, which tends to use a lot of basic compressions, and doesn't involve too much work in specific areas like the neck and occiput. I frequently use very specific, focused techniques to address
the common types of postural issues that plague most people, from those who sit at a desk all day, to others who may be athletes in need of a quick
"tune up"! So be prepared to have those "knots" addressed! Of course, I can also do the general "wellness" type of work, if you prefer that, and just need to relax. Just let me know.
If you are an LMT, I strongly recommend the Pisces Pro Dolphin II, the best massage chair on the market. It's
a bigger investment, but it will pay for itself many times over!
If you need some event work at your corporate location, you can reach me on the "contact me" page. You will find my service most affordable and reasonable.
For a great "self massage" chair, another company I really like is on the ad below. If you have ever considered a really nice lounge-type chair for the home to unwind in after a hard day(or even at the office!) check these guys out, They have free shipping and an excellent product line. Money- back guarantee, plus they price match competitors with an additional 10%! No sales tax!!!(except Utah); financing available.
There have been many new developments in these chairs in recent years. The manufacturers have studied the techniques that
LMTs use, and put these features into their chairs. I sat in a nice one recently and was very impressed. It rolled my spine, worked my shoulders and neck, legs too! Some even have built- in mp3 players. The time-tested vibration/heat feature is still great. It helps relax the spine, which affects the central nervous system. This works best before bedtime.
These chairs are an excellent investment and will help complement therapeutic work, speeding your healing process. They're also very nurturing in the morning when you are feeling sluggish, trying to get moving, or on a cold winter day, with a bowl of soup and favorite blanket. Banjo is not allowed to use mine anymore, though. He leaves peanut shells all over it.
Check out this video below, as this is a really nice chair. (click the >>>>) You can order one from the ad below it.
Back to a picture of a "traditional chair", Here's My Dolphin chair set up on location. Note the forward position. It can also be set up in traditional upright position. More options for comfort means a better massage.
