Fibromyalgia Massage and Fibromyalgia symptoms

Google

Fibromyalgia Massage:

There is a syndrome known as Fibromyalgia that is fairly common these days. It affects more women (25-50) than men, and is characterized by many different symptoms;

Ongoing fatigue

Anxiety/depression

Severe bodily pain, often on one side of the body.

Triggerpoints: areas of "knots", local points of pain

Neck/ shoulder pain

Headaches

Vision problems

Sleep deprivation due to constant pain/ anxiety resulting from that pain

*Hypoglycemia, which is caused by the chronic sleep deprivation, which disrupts the body's many hormones.

*Mood swings, often from the hypoglycemia.

"Brain fog", listlessness, inability to concentrate (A.D.D)

If you have these symptoms, please consult your doctor. Please keep in mind that an official diagnosis is sometimes difficult, as the medical community sometimes recognizes this as a "syndrome", but the pain is very real!

A massage session can help. Fibromyalgia work is a blend of gentle triggerpoint work and wellness massage to reduce general tension. I will be posting a lot more info on this here in the future, stay tuned!
